Dr. Barone is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Barone is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
He has been in practice since 1999 treating cardiovascular disease in Morris, Hunterdon and Somerset Counties.
Dr. Paul Barone is a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and is a licensed physician in the state of New Jersey. He then attended Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he completed his internal medicine and cardiovascular disease fellowship program. He was honored by his mentors by being chosen as Chief Cardiology Fellow in his final year of fellowship.
Dr. Barone specializes in preventative cardiovascular disease including coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, valvular heart disease, structural heart disease, cardiac rhythm disorders, and hypertension and lipid disorders.
Dr. Barone is also an invasive cardiologist who performs cardiac catheterizations, trans esophageal echocardiograms, transthoracic echocardiograms, stress testing and pacemaker treatment and evaluations.
Dr. Barone is an attending physician at Morristown Medical Center, The Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) – Somerset, formerly known as the Somerset Medical Center.
