New Jersey Monthly’s Top Doctors identifies state’s top medical practitioners as chosen by their peers via survey conducted by Leflein Associates.
Leflein Associates mailed a questionnaire to every doctor licensed in New Jersey for at least five years where it asked the doctors were asked to vote for physicians they would choose to treat their own family members.
Dr. Barone received his NJ Monthly’s Top Doctors designation in 2013:
A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Paul Barone launched a practice in 2011 dedicated to the prevention, monitoring and treatment of heart disease.
His comfortable, friendly office with Dr. Raymond Catania offers patients easy access in their community to their personal cardiologist at every visit.
Dr. Barone performs stress tests, echocardiograms, EKGs and pacemaker evaluations in-office, ad discusses the results with patients on the spot.
He performs cardiac catheterizations at Morristown Medical Center and Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for ages 30 to 50, but Dr. Barone sees a hopful trend. “My younger patients smoke less and are more proactive with their health,” he says.
Although people may arrive at his office worried, Dr. Barone makes sure they leave with a positive plan for better health. He says, “My prescription for a heart-healthy lifestyle includes exercise, a low fat diet ad no smoking”.
Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, NJ took out a full page, congratulating Dr. Barone (click here to see) in the same 2013 issue.
